Weekly Scribble - 16 - You Were Weak, You Were Easy to Squeeze, They Did with You as They Please
Ok, so as my final semester is rapidly careening to the end of its journey , much like a runaway railway car on fire, I find myself less and less able to do anything for me.
My graphic design senior show is going to be hung this weekend, so I'm rapidly trying to do last minute prints and edits so I manage not to look like I suck as much as I actually do. So what does this mean? It means less sleep, microwave chow mien dinners and a sudden desire to give up at the art thing and become an accountant.
For you guys, it means a Rerun Week - this time I've actually gone digging in my old archives and found some stuff that hasn't seen the light of day and actually isn't that bad.
Ah, this is an old character of mine, Crimson, she was a long suffering person who wasn't insane so much as a like a lightning rod for weirdness. The early days of this blog are peppered with her. I just kinda out grew her as a character or something. Dunno.
This one was me kinda being inspired by an etching of St Anthony who by far is one of my favorite saints, if only cause his adventures were so much trippier than most of the other saints in art history.
This one is from March 2006 apparently

Crimson again, this time the sky is falling. This was actually part of a larger design for a website which I have sadly lost all record of. The stars were falling around her and the links were stars along the top of the page held up by strings.
This is from sometime in the early winter of 2007, I think. I dunno, the original file of this is long gone so is all the dating info from it. This is a piece from my OU days, which were a rather odd haze of apathy, desperation and silk screening.

Ok, this one is from a tarot deck I was working on back in the day. I do intend at some point to go back and finish it, I still have a lot of the concept sketches for the various cards and arcana.
This one was The High Priestess, the idea was her laying out a card spread herself, and the wheel she was resting on was a continuing symbol that got repeated all over the deck since Tarot was from Rota, which was wheel, of life and crap. I dunno.
This dates from August 2008 for those keeping score at home.

Well thats all I got for this week, now to lay out some type and panic some more.
