When the fires are Consuming You, And Your Sacred Stars Won't Be Guiding You
Late late late art post.
I've been up to my neck on convention preparation, with two unfamiliar conventions back to back I'm trying my best to scrabble together anything and everything that might sell. I've also been mentally twitchy for various reasons from various sources and trying to not run around in circles gibbering.
Anyways, today was a nice break, I got to hang out with my old roommate and do stupid stuff. We ended up lurking around the history section of the local used book store for ages and then lurking around a burger joint for even longer. Good times. She also got me thinking about The Project again, so hopefully at some point in the future I can get back to that. Before con prep, the project and me were in a stand off, I think I can get past that and back on progress. Even if its jumping to another section of it again.
Alright, on with the art.

Another Alice piece. Though it is a tiny one I made for purpose of selling at conventions.
And before anyone asks, no, this isn't me venting some personal issues. At least I'm fairly sure it isn't. Sometimes a pigbaby is just a pigbaby.
I for some reason decided to play with some odd style/technique that utilizes flat colors, no outlines and only minimal textures when needed. Not sure why I thought this was a good idea but its kind of interesting to play with and definitely a good muscle stretcher.
Because I'm a big old nerd my Commander Shepard from Mass Effect was my first test subject. She is an Infiltrator class whose hobbies are lighting people on fire, hacking any and all terminals she can get a hold of and practicing her head shots. Her sniper rifle is also her favorite thing in the world right now.

And here's some work in progress. The first is my attempt at Doctor Who fanart, because I'm silly and I really enjoyed "The Doctor's Wife" I decided to try to draw the Doctor and "Sexy". Not sure if I got her right, but at least Matt Smith came out alright. Still trying to figure out how to color this, hence the delay. I was hoping to get this done for convention but I'm not sure thats going to happen.

Another experiment with the flat color technique, another video game girl and a crazy gun. I haven't gotten to play Portal 2 yet but I have been following the production information on it and already been spoiled plot wise for it. So here's Chell 2.0 hauling ass and dragging Wheatley along with her. I have to say Wheatley despite all the events of the plot was still hilarious and adorable so I had to include him.

Anyway's that is all for right now. Not sure when the next art post will happen since I've got conventions swiftly approaching.
