The Best Laid Plan of Mice..
May. 19th, 2005 04:24 pmSo we got there a bit too late to see the line or even a majority of the crowd. We saw the remanants of the crowd. Piles of pizza boxes and soda cans were all over the place, all the way to the back of the building. Too bad we missed the craziness.
Got harrassed abit by some theater workers who thought we were trying to sneak in the movie, though Karen lied and told them I worked for some newspaper and all was well after that.
The pictures are going to be shitty, I know that much. That was a group of the laziest nerds ever, only three or four people in costume and three of those had just thrown a brown hooded robe on and proclaimed 'hey look 'm a jedi!'.
However glimpsing a fully grown man dressed as an ewok retreated quickly to the theater clutching his soda and popcorn made the whole trip worth it.
Maybe the Harry Potter movies will develop some amount of fanfare in a few years. They'll probably be shit by then but hey, that hasn't stopped the Star Wars nerds. In a few years, when the geeks start lining up dressed up as wizards and shit, I WILL be ready for them.
