The Life of a Foolish Mortal

Right now as it stands Foolish Mortal and Co. are scheduled for:

Aggie-Con- Bryan College Station - March 23-25th

We'll be in the Dealers Room selling prints and buttons and commissions and other snake oil.
I'll also probably have some stuff thrown in the Art Show.
So if you want to own some original Foolish Mortal paintings this could be your chance.



Comicpalooza - Houston - May 25-27th -
We'll be in the Artist Alley, no word on our location yet. Will update when we get more info.

A-Kon - Dallas - June 1-3rd
We had to fight off hundreds of other artists in an epic Battle Royale but we did get a table for this year's A-Kon and managed to keep most of our limbs in the process.

UPDATE - WE WILL BE IN THE UPSTAIRS SECTION - look for us up in section E

San Japan - San Antonio - August 10-12th

The Apprentice managed to survive another epic registration battle royale and scored another table.
Yet another Texas con, (you totally can't tell we live here), this will be out first time attending this con so I'm excited to see how this goes.

So I'm sitting here at 6 in the morning listening to cheery cheery Jazz music while nursing my printers along to try to bulk up my print stock. My to-do list is miles long and I have no idea where it ends. Con season is here, and it is here in full force.

Me and the apprentice have a convention at the end of next week. We (at least I was I do not know about the apprentice) are sort of caught flat footed on this since we were sitting on the waiting list fat dumb and happy, not expecting to be called, our next convention a blissful happy safe two months away. Our number got called and we couldn't come up with a reason to say no, so here we are scurrying to get everything sorted and handled. Her with school and me with my mom's doctor's appointments, my job doubling my hours for this week and other rot.

Anyways, while I'm panicking and chasing tail lets have some art posts.

( And still nothing new for the print books )

Well I think I've finished up all the printing I can do for the moment. So I'm going to slump over into bed for a bit before I go out and run the 500 errands I need to run.

So I am back in town from SoonerCon. It was a fun convention and I'll talk more about it later but at the moment I'm going to fall over.

For those of you who have e-mailed me, I will respond when I'm less fried and can respond to everything in an intelligent manner.

For the curious my con schedule right now is:

May 27-29th Comicpalooza in Houston - I will have a table in the Artist Alley of this convention. I'll be in the back facing the concession stand. So if you are in the area drop by and say hello.

June 3-5 - SoonerCon in Oklahoma City - I'll be there with prints, buttons, jewelry and paintings. So come on by say hello, commission something, and poke me with a stick if I doze off.

So me and the apprentice have survived Comicpalooza. It was slow going for a while but we managed to enjoy ourselves in the end.

Though now I'm almost out of business cards and seriously need to get the online store up and running in some fashion. I hope to get something thrown together up on the store front before I head off again to SoonCon.


But that is something I shall handle after I sleep some more.

Also in other news:
Foolish Mortal and Co. will have a table at Sooner Con in Oklahoma City the first weekend of June. This is my first Sci-fi/Fantasy convention. This should prove interesting.

Well another week, another (slightly late) art post, also have some other stuff to announce.

The Foolish Mortal Store is now set up and running. I still need to add a lot to it but I decided to get it running before I talked myself out of it entirely. This store will hopefully in the future be where you can purchase prints, buttons, and jewelry and other items of my creation.

I am also attending Comicpalooza in Houston the weekend of May 27th. I'll be there along with a friend of mine selling artwork and a limited range of buttons. If you are in the area come on by and say hi.

Also for those expecting to see me at A-kon this year: the way things look now I am not going to be there. I will give updates to the rest of the convention schedule as they happen.

Okay I'm going to attempt a vague con report. I'm always bad at these but here we go.

( The two main adjectives I have for Oni-Con were noisy and disorganized. )

And now back to playing Echo Bazaar. I really should have known better than to read the damn graffiti, now I've got eight fingered men from my nightmares greeting me on the street. I should get that fixed.

Hell, You know thats how I get along...


So I am back from Oni-Con. Alive, tired, and all that lovely rot.

I get the distinct feeling my voice will be useless tommorow. I will bring a full report later after I eat, unload my car, drink some hot tea and enjoy whats left of my Halloween. But for those wondering it was a decent con.

Maybe I'll just treat myself to the last bottle of sour apple and a movie marathon. At this stage a quiet evening is probably the best thing for me.

Okay small post this week, been busy with con prep/organization and pseudo nervous break downs. My random sketch pages are not worth sharing so have some odd somewhat more focused doodles.
