Well the Golden Compass movie site is quite pretty and well thought out. They even have a page that explains the concept of daemons and give you the oppurtunity to find out what yours would end up being. I ended up with a crow named Olin.

But the real fun part is the fact that other people can vote on wether or not you really have the qualities you think you have and can change your daemons shape.
