Orphan works Legislation
Apr. 11th, 2008 11:27 pmSo apparently America decided they didn't hate artists enough and are working on ways to make copyright laws even more imposible then before.
The way this legislation apparently works is that if one doesn't register all of ones artwork in all these registries for copyright protection then your work becomes an 'orphan' and fair use to thh world. This means no royaties or ask permission or anything. As an art student and a hopeful pro I'm probably going to wake up in cold sweats over this now. I truly can not believe this sort of this is going on, what hppened to a person being allowed to the (pardon the phrase) sweat of his brow?
So any Americans out there please write your congress man and lets see if we can get this stupid law vetoed before I go into hysterics and become an accountant.
