Sep. 11th, 2009 12:02 pmGreetings from College.
Not much to report, this is supposed to be my last year here and I'm hoping that's the truth. While I don't dislike college I've been doing this academic thing for about five years now and I'm starting to get abit of a burn out. I've still got a fair amount to learn but I've also got some ideas and projects of my own I want to focus on.
There was one personal project I am actively working on that I'm rather excited about but am not going to jinx by talking about it just yet. It was one of the few projects I actually have an idea what it is supposed to be in the end, this is a rarity for me. Sadly I have no idea when I will actually be ready to discuss it.Though currently work on that is being held at a stand still for I am tied up with homework and an old old project of mine that has decided to not sit quietly in the back of my head any more.
My style of writing and character building tends to be rather conceptual, I come up with an idea, draw out a a few sketches, name them and after that take them out every so often to add more details and put them back down again. As for how well this works, its not the most effective of writing methods I most admit, then again that is why I focus my skills on pretty pictures not stories.
The point I'm trying to come to though, is it feels like I'm arriving at some sort of end product for the conceptual work of whatever the hell Tannis ends up being part of. The timing however couldn't be worse and its kind of hard to explain to people that I've zoned out not because I'm bored but just because some bit of plot I didn't even know I needed just clicked.
Ah well, this will all come to a head somehow. Here's hoping I actually survive classes along the way.
