Phew for a Minute I Lost Myself
Feb. 1st, 2011 04:37 amSorry for the lack of art post this last week.
I was working on odds and ends of The Project which I do not share on here. I will however say there was a lot of second guessing, a little reworking of layouts and some rearranging of script events. And then the important part of the process where you stare at everything you decided on and question your skill and intelligence for the next day and a half.
The rest of the week I spent in a weird funk (which also includes insomnia), though I did get some stuff done it was nothing really pretty. I'm hoping this week will be better - but I'm not sure, my head is an even weirder place than it was last week. At least watching Black Swan (which I felt was all sound and fury and confusion) gives me a whole new fresh perspective on my own weird head space issues. I may have problems but at least I am nothallucinating growing feathers.
Anyways, weird head space aside heres some work in progress. More of the Adventures of a Girl and her Robot. The girl I've recently been informed by my friend Cyndi, is named Sophie, I'm horrible at naming things so I'm grateful for the suggestion. Robot as of yet has no name and neither does anyone else in this picture.
This also shows my work process, the rough pencils underneath the rough digital inking/edits. This will probably get one more round of edits and one more refining inking before I start plotting color schemes.
Anyways its getting light out and I've got a new book about Black Bart the Pirate to read if the insomnia kicks back in again. I really need to get more Prachett books if I'm going to keep up this insomnia habit. At least by the time I've reached the end of a Prachett book I feel better and more charitable about life in general.
Heres hoping this week will be better.
