lissa_quonI was e-mailed a couple weeks back that I had actually been moved up on the waiting list for an Artist Alley table for an upcoming convention. And then stuff got tied up, so I am not sure of the progress on that, so I'm cautiously doing abbreviated con prep in the event that it does happen.
So I've got 500 buttons laid out and ready for printing when I get more glossy paper to print on, 2 new designs to print and test as well. And I made yet another necklace. I realize that I haven't actually posted any pictures of any of the jewelry stuff I work on so I guess I might as well start sharing now.
These photos aren't that good, I really need better lighting set up or a tripod so I don't have to use the damn flash.
First up on this post is an experiment, the chain isn't final. I intend to get copper wire and make something bit better than this. I blame my sister for this piece.
This piece sadly was just an excuse to use the big marble/globe stone piece. I found it in a hippy bead shop in Norman and just couldn't resist the spirals carved on it.
This one I made for my sister for her birthday (very belated I'm ashamed to say).
And finally a picture of some chain experiment I was playing with last month. All I need is a clasp to add to this and it should make a decent choker for someone.
I'll get to scanning the art post soon, and then get back to cranking on the comic panelling and maybe thumbnail out the concept I came up with last night. I really wish I could do this sort of thing for a living (drawing, jewelry, comic etc etc) since I seem to be running short on hours in the day before I run out of ideas.
