Happy New Year
Jan. 2nd, 2004 12:58 amI'm so GOD DAMN BORED
spent New Years Eve at my buddy Julie's house with my other buddies Lacy and Karen. It was fun, attempted to rent good movies, discovered noone brought an id for the good video store so we rented one bland movie else where along with Fatal Frame 2.
Choosing food was fun, Julie is vegetarian and Lacy has a bland palatte and won't eat anything from a pig. Ended up having cheese pizza for dinner and brunch. Had dinner with my folks at a vegetarian restaraunt. Sweet jesus give me some meat to gnaw on. I know I'm not a strict carnivore but sheesh 48 hours with no meat.
I'm not really sure why I'm like writing in stanzas going from topic to topic, personally I blame it on reading so many distorted compilation of the new year's memories entries.
Must seriously hurt Lacy and Karen for renting Fatal Frame. I have a low tolerance level for games like that. I just wacthed my brother in law play Silent Hill 2 and I stayed up for over 24 hours peeking around corners half expecting some shadow to develop into an armless zombie and come near me. With games like that its not whats in the game, its not what you see in the game. Its what you're expecting, its what you don't know, its what you think is coming for you that kills you. Its like Beowulf, no description of the creature makes him more frightening then any amount of description one can conjure. Its like I'm four yeras old again and hearing voices whisper at me from the shadows, its like wacthing the Ring and jumping at the TV static just knowing that she was coming for you. I know I'm a dork like that, but what can I say, my mind can create stories at a mile and minute, it can create monsters in seconds. I don't enjoy my brain going on those deep dark paths by itself, it makes me feel like I'm out of control. See, I'm out of control, rambling.
Ach well Happy New Yearm this hasn't really been a bad year. No major events for me, no accomplishments, no deaths, nothing worth mentioning this year except perhaps that hideous flu.
Now to find a book to read that I haven't read already, I think I have an old mythology book I haven't read. ooh mythology ^_^
