Posting to say I've revamped the journal abit. Not sure if I'll keep things exactly like this but I felt it was time for a change. This also is abit closer to the colors on my art site which was something I felt needed to be.
So school has kicked up, I only have half the text books I need, which blows but the rest are shipping, VERY SLOWLY. If I'm lucky the books will be here in time for my mid terms. I could have sworn we paid for shipping but you can't tell from the speed it's going at.
With summer over I'm now working weekends only, sadly they've scheduled me for like 30 hours a weekend. I close two days in a row, then on Sunday I open AND close. One of my co workers asked me when I was doing homework and I did my best not to laugh maniacally. If things get to bad I may have to talk to my supervisor about it. I hope he'll be understanding, I know we're short handed but...I am beginning to run on a solid diet of soda, coffee and tea. If things get too hectic in classes I have no clue what I'm going to do.
Anyways, on a lighter note I finally got to finish watching Speed Grapher. I watched the first disk with friends on Spring Break and just this week got the chance to finish it. I enjoyed the series immensely, it was an awesome series for more mature individuals. I say for mature individuals since it had alot of sexual themes, alot of nudity and some f-ed up visuals. It used an odd fantastic element (the ability for someone to become what they deeply desired) as a sort of catalyst to explore concepts of greed and lust...also as an excuse for lots of explosions and crazy fights.
Once one gets over the initial wtf-ery of the show it has quite a decent storyline and characters. The main character is a badass photographer who fought evil monsters and greedy creeps with the power of an SLR camera and his need to make things right (or need to photograph dead people I dunno). Whoever wrote this checked up on his camera-fu and that wins points in my book anyday. I am currently working on a fanart concept for the show though I tend to be really picky about my fanart designs so this could take a while.
So yea, if you have an open mind and a strong constitution I highly recommed this one.
Anyways off to go sketch some shit.
