So I'm one day away from wrapping up my first week at my new job. I was unsure how this was all going to work out when I started but today went really well. They started me working in the Design, Copy Print center today with strong hints that I'd be moved there on a more permanant basis. I'm actually happy with this thought, then again any job where I have half a clue what I'm doing without too much training is always awesome. Plus their alot more relaxed in this department what with the lack of constant cash register lines.
Sadly the college front is going not half as good. I was unable to find housing or any way to get to Sam this semester. Got some bad info (or possibly good info, I have no clue) proclaiming there were no more art classes and that I needed to take a shit load of core gen ed classes. Being less than thrilled I decided to opt for a semester at junior college to save funds (tuition, rent, gas, food etc.). However the advisor I am talking to via e-mail from Sam is not quite understanding in this situation and has become a broken record.
I was unhappy with this situtation but figured it was for the better, and when Office Depot called me almost immediatly after we got back from talking to Sam about Gen Ed I figured that this was definately for the better.
Though my problem is not yet over, I have to register for community college and get classes that both transfer in as something useful to Sam and fufill my final 13 hours toward my Associate degree. Sadly this is taking a while and my mom is getting more upset and frustrated than me over this.
Not much else going on over here. I eagerly away my pay check so I can go down the path of NOT BEING broke for a change.
Wish me luck folks.
