ART POST - sketch dump

Haven't been doing much, packing stuff, playing old computer games and other things I'll ramble about but here, have some sketches.
The first pile of stuff is from my small recycled sketchbook I carry around classes. The brown paper is nice to work on but a huge bitch to scan.

Some ancient Egyptians, drawn during world history while we were discussing Egypt.

Not sure why I drew this, but its a guy from a mystery cult. Once again history doodles.

Most of my sketckbook pages are cluttered like this, I scanned this cause I liked the plague doctors.

Despair from Sandman, I was trying to see if I could even pull off her body type, I'm actually rather pleased how that came out.

A Marie Antoinette doodle inspired by a song I heard on last fm but can't find any more info on.
This set of drawings below is stuff I have been doing recently trying to keep my skills working and trying to pull myself out of artist block by just drawing whatever came to mind before I went to bed. Typically this stuff is influenced by stuff I read or played that day so its not the most original work ever.

A ghost, not much more to say other than that.

I've been playing Thief 2:The Metal Age and recently got to a level where you meet Servants, which are these mechanically encased people. I just say that cause I suspect thats what inspired these guys. I like their design and might play with them later.

I mentioned I've been playing the Thief games right? This is definitely not how Garret looks but ah well

So American McGee making a sequel to his Alice game and Tim Burton's movie concept stuff brought Alice back to mind. I don't know exactly why shes hopping mad in the second drawing, I was playing with extreme poses and came up with that.

This is a sketch from the school year but I felt it ended the post rather well. This is a rather exhausted drawing of me, done during my first portfolio assembling scramble.
I hate not doing art posts more often but life catches up with me and I rarely find myself wanting to unearth the scanner to get this stuff posted. Here's hoping I at least do one more post like this before the summer is over.
