lissa_quonOkay, sorry for the lack of action on here. It the season where Lissa goes spare and not much gets accomplished besides minor headaches. But at long last here is an update on what I've been working on besides decorating, cleaning, and baking.
I kicked around the idea of getting a print run done of some Christmas cards but that is/was a bit of a pricey gamble for me at the moment so that idea got shelved. The notion is not abandoned, but it is not happening this year.
Anyways, onto what I've been doing.
I have long threatened to make one of my friends a voodoo pin cushion, I decided to try to do it but I needed to recreate my voodoo doll pattern from my Corporate Design Project So I decided to make a practice mock up doll for that, and while I was at it, figure out what I could and shouldn't do.
It is possible to make hair - though its a pain, and distorts the head shape in the end that its abit of a pain. Also the fabric I used on my previous doll, was really forgiving of the process this new fabric is NOT.
The new doll next to the old one for comparison.
And a picture of just the new one. I really need to give this one a hair cut and make it some clothes since I keep getting the idea that it's naked due to the fabric that was used for this.
Once again I made a crazy chain. Need to wrap this one up and get around to getting off my butt and actually put work on my etsy shop.
Studies for a commission, this is going to be some kinds of crazy.
More studies from The Project, I love drawing Larry's miffed face. It brings me joy.
I've also been working on other things; there are more page layout updates on The Project. In an attempt to prop up my poor shattered ego I switched to another scene that is a bit easier on me.
With that I'm going to sign off, hopefully I'll get more crap done in the future.
EDIT - Oh yea, almost forgot, I have finally broken down and registered a domain name. I am now the proud sort of owner of foolish-mortal.com
