My birthday is/was today. As of now I'm 19. Which isn't that impressive a milestone after turning 18.

Not much else to say, trying not to sound to much like wallowing in self pity. But every year I debate about just giving up on this whole birthday thing.

On my first birthday me and my mom were in a car accident, the car was totalled. Seventh birthday, got kicked out of my own play house by my girl scout troop, fifteenth birthday my grandmother was getting out of the hospital and into hospice care, a week later she died. Things just haven't gotten much better over the years. Though my birthday this year was essentially as impressive as it was last year.

Last year my folks forgot my b-day till the last minute, this year everyone BUT my folks seem to have forgotten it. Everyone. 'Cept Karen, then again Karen sees me everyday. But no one else even mentioned it. No calls from anyone, not even my sister, she better be dead or violently ill right now. Cause DUDE.

In Veruca Salt mode, didn't get much today, everyone seemed to go for the early birthday present this year. So over the course of two months I got, a Ghaleon Boxing Puppet, a printer, and a hundred bucks (that mainly went toward covering lunch and small pocket expenses before payday). Today my folks gave me a cell phone, that relies on pre paid minutes on phone cards and such. We are still trying to sort the whole process of obtaning minutes out, so no news if its going to be useful or not.

But today was nice in the fact I had the day off and could bug the cat all day. He didn't seem to mind, even when I poked him with a spoon. I also go to eat at Olive Garden and get some delicious-ly dense choclate cake there.

But dude, Malinda better be violently ill or something.

Oh geez, belatedly but still, happy birthday!
It's not self-pity if you want people to take notice of your birthday, ya know?
Although you have an impressive record of depressing birthdays, which sucks (aw, for YOU obviously), things seem to have been going better with the more recent ones, if your current one is anything to go by. So, don't get down :P

And you gave me a serious case of the giggles imagining you poking your cat with a spoon. ^.^
